Mesprit Pokemon Card Review

Card Typing and HP

This Mesprit card is a psychic type Pokémon card and is also a Legendary Pokémon in the Games TCG and Anime. This Mesprit Card has 70HP total and is therefore quite a strong Pokémon Card to use in a Deck. Also has a good attack Damage also.

Attack Damage and Abilities

The ability on this card is as follows If you have Aself  in play, your opponents Pokémon in play has no resistance. This is a strong Ability because it means that if your opponents Active Pokémon Resists Psychic type Pokémon then it does the right amount of damage instead of - how ever much damage they are usually able to do. The only downside to this Ability is that Aself has to be in play for the Ability to work which means that you have to have Aself in your Deck as well as Mesprit. That is the only downside to this ability.

The Attack on this card is called Mind Splash which does 20+ damage there is also an effect on this card which states If Uxie is on your Bench, this attack does 50 more damage. Therefore for this attack to do as much damage as possible Uxie must be on your bench. The total amount of damage this attack can do therefore is 70 damage which is a lot to do to your opponents Active Pokémon.

Weakness Resistance and Retreat Cost

The Weakness for this Pokémon is Psychic Pokémon (Itself) which this Pokémon is 2X weak to which is confusing really.

The resistance for this Pokémon is nothing so this Pokémon will always take at least the minimum amount of Damage every time due to the lack of a resistance.

This Pokémon Card has a one Colourless Energy Retreat Cost which means that you have to get a Energy on this Pokémon onto your Discard Pile to Retreat Cost.

Sqiurtle Pokemon Card Review

This Card has 60HP and is one of the starters along with Bulbasaur and Charmander. It is a Water type Pokemon card and is x2 weak to Grass Type Pokemon. It is one of the most Powerful Pokemon starters in the anime and is my favorite starter ever. Its moves are:

  • Bubble = Flip a coin if heads your Opponents active Pokemon is now Paralyzed.
  • Water Gun = 20 Damage
The damage for Water Gun is 20 for one basic Water energy Card and one Colourless energy Card. And for Bubble you need just one Basic Water Energy Cards. That is how the card works. I do use this card in my deck. Only use it though if you have the full line because once you get it to Blastiose your Opponent is done for. So use this Card but only if you have the full line to get Squirtle up to Blastiose.
Here is The Card:

Todadile Pokemon Card Review

This card is an amazing card for a water type deck you should definitely use this card if you have a Water Deck. The card has two attacks:

  • Gnaw = 10 damage
  • Water Splash = 20 damage
This card needs for it's first attack, one water energy. And for its second attack it needs one water energy and one colourless energy (any energy card of any type, must be basic). This card is two times weak to Grass type Pokemon and has a one colourless energy retreat cost. Great card for building a competitive Pokemon Battling Deck. I think highly of this card and will give it a 3 out of 5 Card review. Also it has no resistance to any Pokemon Type.
Here is the card:

Snivy Pokemon Crad Review

This Pokemon Card is a Grass Type Pokemon Card and is a Johto Starter. In the Anime Trip starts with a Snivy and then beats Ashes Pikachu. Anyway the Card has 60HP and has two attacks:

  • Paralyzing Gaze = Flip a coin if heads your opponents active Pokemon is now Paralyzed
  • Tail Smack = 20 Damage
To do paralyzing Gaze you have to have one Colourless Energy ( any energy) and attach it to this Pokemon.
To do Tail Smack you need One Grass Type Energy and one Colourless Energy ( any energy of any type).

Here is a Picture of the Card:

Electabuzz Pokemon Card Review

This is a card that is an electric type and one that has 80HP. It is a very powerful Pokemon and one that evolves into it's Stage One evolution Electavire. A Pokemon who is also a very powerful Pokemon if looked after correctly. In the anime Paul had an Electavire and it wasn't very effective due to how it's trainer Paul was treating it. Anyway, the card has two attacks:
  • Light Punch = 10 Damage
  • Ambush = 20+ = Flip a coin. If heads his attack does 20 more Damage.
So it is a decent Pokemon in terms of how well it does as a Basic Pokemon Card. So for that reason I would use this card in my Deck if it was a Pure Electric Type Deck. But only if I had the evolved form Electavire.

Piplup Pokemon Card Review

Piplup is a Pokemon Card that is a water type and that is two times week to Grass Types. It has two moves:
  • Peck
  • Water Splash
These moves are not really very effective as they only have very low stats:
  • Peck = 10 damage = 1 water energy
  • Water Splash = 20+ = 1 water and 1 colourless energy
Water Splash is a decent move as the effect on it says : Flip a coin if heads this attack does 20 Damage plus 10 more damage. So personally I might use this card in my deck if it was a Grass- water deck. However other than that I would not use this card in my deck because although it's most powerful move has the potential to do 50 Damage I am not willing to take that risk. So for that reason I would not used this card in my deck unless in was a Grass-Water Deck.

Haxsourus Holo Pokemon Card Review

This Pokemon Card is a card from the Black and White series of Sets. It has 140HP and is a Dragon Type Pokemon Card. It's Most powerful attack is Dragon Pulse for 100 damage to your opponents active Pokemon. It is Lane of he Elite Four's Pokemon in the Anime and I think is one of the coolest Cards in terms of it's art on the Card.

Zweilous Pokemon Card Review

Zweilous is a Dragon Type Pokemon Card and is the evolved form of Deino, it is also from the Steam Siege set. This set is from the XY series of sets. This Pokemon has two attacks:

  • Double Hit ( 20X Damage)
  • Power Breach Power Breath (80 Damage)
This card is significantly stronger than the Deino card I reviewed earlier today. I said it was a below average card, but this Zweilous is much more powerful than the Deino card. If you have a Deino make sure you evolve it as quickly as possible into Zweilous. The attacks for this Pokemon need one sidekick type energy, one dark type energy and one colourless energy. When you put these together you get 80 Damage from this attack.
Finally the other has 20X damage and has an effect. The effect is, Flip two coins. This attack does 20 damage times the number of heads.

This card overall I think Is a average card in the Pokemon TCG (Trading Card Game). So I would pick this card up for your deck and evolve Deino into it as quickly as possible.

Deino Pokemon Card Review

Deino  is a  Dragon type Pokemon card with 60HP. This card is from the Steam Siege Pokemon card set (XY series of sets). It is quite a weak Pokemon to be honest as it only has one attck, which for a Dragon type isn't very good. The attack is

  • Headbutt Bounce (20 Damage)
This is an attack that needs two types of energy to attack:

  • Fairy Type
  • Dark Type
These are really quite hard to find so I think that this is a useless attack. It is a bad Pokemon, but it's evolved form Zweilous is a different story, It is much better than Deino. So if you want to use Deino in your deck, make sure you have a Zweilous to go with it otherwise it is useless. So overall I believe that this Pokemon is below average.

Goomy Pokemon Card Review

This card has 50HP and is a Dragon type Pokemon. It is a basic card as well. Goomy has one attack and one move that does no damage but has an effect. The two moves are:

  • Tackle (20 damage)
  • Bubble ( effect move)
The attacking move needs one water type Pokemon Energy and one Fairy Type Pokemon Energy card. This attack is for 20 damage. This is surprisingly good for a Basic type Pokemon. It also has another attack which does no damage but has an effect. The effect states: Flip a coin if heads, your opponents active Pokemon is now Paralyzed. This is a helpful effect, however it is only effective for one turn in the official TCG (Trading Card Game). But it is still useful to buy yourself time if you are playing competitively and your opponent is killing you!
So in that respect it is a good effect to have on a Pokemon card. So if you have a Goomy from S&M (Sun and Moon you should defiantly use it in your Deck.

This card also has a weakness this is Fairy Type Pokemon however it is also has no weakness. And it also has a one colourless energy retreat cost.

Beldum Pokemon Card Review

This Pokemon Card has 60HP and is from the Sun and Moon Guardians Rising Pokemon card set (newest set). This card is a steel type Pokemon card and is a basic card too. This card has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon cards and a -20 resistance to sidekick Pokemon cards. This card also has a retreat cost of one colourless Pokemon energy card. This card is CN (card number) 83/145 cards.

This card also has one attack, however it is not very powerful. It is:

  • Core Beam (20 damage)
This attack does 20 damage plus it has an effect. The effect says, Discard a metal type energy from this Pokemon. This is after the attack though so that is ok. This card is a good card to start off with as long as you have the evolved form of it on your bench Metang. You should certainly do that if you have a deck with those two cards in it or are thinking about it.

Helioptile Pokemon Card Review

This Pokemon is from the Guardians Rising Pokemon card series of sets and it is an electric type Pokemon. This card is a basic ( doesn't evolve from anything , it is the starting Pokemon of a line of evolution). It is not that powerful of a Pokemon but it's evolved form Hilolisk is a powerful Pokemon.

This card has one attack:
  • Thunder Shock
This attack does 10 damage to your opponents active Pokemon. This is not the best to be honest with you so you will need to evolve it as quickly as possible. However this attack has an effect and it says: Flip a coin. If heads, your opponents active Pokemon is now paralyzed. This is a useful attack because when your opponents active Pokemon is paralyzed you may have an opening to switch Pokemon to a more powerful Pokemon.

So if you have this Pokemon in your deck or are thinking about it then I think you should only have it in your deck if you have a Hilolisk in your deck as well, then you may use this card in your deck. So that is my advice. Thank you.

Vikavolt Pokemon Card Review

This Vikavolt Pokemon card has 150HP and is part of the Sun and Moon Pokemon card set. It is also a lightning type ( hence the name Vikavolt). And it has one attack and one ability. The ability is : Strong Charge and the attack is Electro Canon. Electro Canon has an effect on the Pokemon that uses It though, which is a down side.

The attack of Vikavolt is called Electro Canon this has a hit power of 150 and is Vikavolts only attack. To preform this attack you will need three CEs ( Colourless Energies) and one Electric type energy. Like I said this attack does 150 damage to the opponents active Pokemon, however it also has a catch ( like I said) it says Discard 3 energy cards from this Pokemon. So there is an up side and a down side to this attack. This Pokemon also has an ability called Strong Charge. This ability says. Once during your turn (before you attack), you may search your deck for one grass type and electric type energy and attach them to your Pokemon in anyway you like. Then, shuffle , your deck afterwards.

Electabuz Pokemon Card Review

This Pokemon card has 80HP and is an electric type Pokemon card. It is also from the Furious Fists set of Pokemon cards. This is a basic Pokemon and it has two attacks.

  • Light Punch
  • Ambush
Light Punch is an attack that does 10 damage to your opponents active Pokemon. This is not that effective of moves also to use it you need to have one energy attached to this Pokemon.. The next move is Ambush. Ambush is a move that needs one colourless and one electric type energy to work in the TCG. it does 20+ damage to your opponents active Pokemon. It also has an effect. The effect is, Flip a coin, if heads , this attack does 20 more damage.

So although it is the most powerful attack on this Pokemon, it only does 20 damage if tails and only 40 if there is heads. So it is not a card that I would recommend having in your deck, unless you have an electavire in your deck. If you do then you must make sure that you evolve it as quickly as possible. But if I was you I would not run this card in your deck due to the fact that it is just way too risky to be fair.

Xerneus EX Pokemon Card Review

This card is from the XY base set of Pokemon cards. It has 170HP and is a Fairy Type Pokemon. It is also one of the XY base set featured Pokemon along with Yveltal. It is an ultra rare card too. This card has a X2 weakness to Steel type Pokemon like Metang and a -20 resistance to Dark type Pokemon. This Pokemon card also has two attacks on the card.
 These attacks are:
  • Break Through
  • X Blast
Break Through is the first attack on the card and it has an effect. The effect is: This attack does 30 damage to one of your opponents benched Pokemon. Plus it does 60 damage to your opponents active Pokemon. So all together it does 90 damage so it is a very Over Powered move. The other attack is called X Blast, this attack does a whopping 140 damage which is just obscene. This attack also has an effect. The effect is: This Pokemon can not use X Blast during your next turn.

So this Pokemon is extremely powerful. I would definitely advise you to put it in your deck if you are making one with fairy types in it. It would make an excellent and powerful addition to your team. It is a smart choice!

Spiritomb Pokemon Card Review

This Pokemon Card has 70HP and is a dark type Pokemon Card. This Card has one attack. Nightmare for 10 damage. It also has an effect. It says, your opponents active Pokemon is now asleep. it Is like shrummishes Spore. It makes the opponents active Pokemon to become asleep. The other thing is like an ability but not. it is called Damage Play. It says Move as many damage counters on your opponents benched Pokemon in any way you like. so it is a very useful ability, you can one hit an opponent with this attack on this card.

Nightmare needs one dark energy to work. And it is not the most powerful attack in the world. it only does 10 damage to the opposing pokemon. However the next part is the cool part. For one colourless energy and one dark type energy you can get Damage Play which is a very useful attack/ability. You can just have this card in your deck just for this ability.

Turtonator Pokemon Card Review

Turtonator Pokémon Card Review

This card has 130 HP and is a fire type pokemon. It is part of the brand new Sun and Moon Pokemon card set. This card has two attacks that it can use, they are Flame Cloak and Heat Blast. Flame Cloak does 30 damage but also has an effect. Flame Cloak can allow you to attach a fire type energy from your discard pile onto this pokemon each time you use it. it is quite a powerful move. And because of this Flame Cloak attack that has an effect and does damage this means that it is very effective in the TCG.

The other attack that that this Pokemon can use is Heat Blast. This attack does 70 damage so it is the more powerful attack. But it does not have an effect it just does 70 damage to the opposing Pokemon. So to me the more effective move is Flame cloak, although it only does 30 damage and Heat Blast does 70, Flame Cloak has that effect.

Here is a picture of Turtonator:

Frokie Pokemon Card Review

This card is from the Steam Siege set and has 60Hp. I like this card a lot because

I like Graninja and Frokie eventually becomes Graninja.
This is a water type Pokemon card and it has one attack. The attack is called pound and it is for 10 damage. It needs only one energy for this attack which is fairly good.
I would rate this card 7 out of 10 if i was rating Pokemon cards. So overall a good card.
